Vanity, What is Thy Price?

Hellow everyone, back to Yuli's blog again. this time, I will present a drama about Vanity and Pride. Then I'll also explain how to find something that's been lost. Let's see my blog.

“Vanity and Pride”

🌺🌺Scene 1

This is My Video Scene 1📼

Narrator :

Madame Loisel was a pretty girl born into a poor family. She had no expectations  and she felt so trapped by her situation that she married a little clerk in a goverment office. Her tastes were simple because she had never been able to  afford any other, but she was as unhappy as though she had married beneath her  status; for women have no caste or class, their beauty, grace, and charm serving  them for birth or family. She suffered endlessly, feeling herself born for every delicacy and luxury. She suffered from the poorness of her house, from its bare  walls, worn chairs, and ugly curtains.

Monsier Loisel :  Sweetheart, I have a surprise for you.

Madame Loisel :  Really, what is the surprise?

Monsier Loisel :  See for yourself.

(He places the invitation on the table.) Swiftly she tears open the envelop and draws out a printed card and reads out.

"The Minister and Madame Ramponneau
request the pleasure of the company of
Monsieur and Madame Loisel
at the Ministry on the evening of Monday, January the eighteenth."

Monsier Loisel : Isn't it wonderful?

Madame Loisel : What do you mean? What can I do with it?

Madame Loisel  : I have nothing suitable to wear to this glamorous occasion?

Monsier Loisel   : Why... Why, you can wear your theater gown, of course. It's really quite suitable.

Monsier Loisel : What's the matter? Why are you crying?

Madame Loisel : I'll be humiliated in that old gown. It's so tattered and completely out of style. I can't go to the ball wearing that rag.

Monsier Loisel   : There must be a way! How much do you think a suitable gown would cost, something very simple but elegant as well, of course.

Madame Loisel  : I’m not too sure, but maybe 400 francs.

Monsier Loisel   : I've been saving and I think I have just about 400 francs you could take it to buy a gown.

🌺🌺Scene 2

This is My Video Scene 2📼

Monsier Loisel : You make any dress come to life, my dear. How ravishing you look!

Madame Loisel : [Pouting and whining]  But I'll be disgraced!

Monsier Loisel : Disgraced? What can you possibly mean? You will be the most beautiful woman there.

Madame Loisel :  You just don't understand! It's so annoying! I don't have a single piece of jewelry to wear with my gown.

Monsier Loisel : There is one thing, one possibility that you've forgotten.

Madame Loisel : [Sniffs.]  What's that?

Monsier Loisel : Your old classmate! Madame Jeanne Forestier! She is really well off. I'm sure she would be willing to lend you  some of her jewelry!

Madame Loisel :  [Her sniffs turn into laughter and joy.]  Of course! I can borrow something suitable from Jeanne. Thank you, darling.

Narrator :

Madame Loisel was absolutely smashing! She was prettier than any of the other women: elegant, graceful, smiling and wild with joy. Everyone noticed her, and her husband's boss seemed to want every dance with her!

🌺🌺Scene 3

This is My Video Scene 3📼

Madame Loisel : [Looking in mirror.] Oh my God! Oh no, oh no. I... I have... Oh my God, this can not happen!

Monsier Loisel : What? What is it?

Madame Loisel : I have lost Madame Forestier's necklace!

Monsier Loisel : It can't be true! It's impossible!

Madame Loisel : Oh God, help us!

Monsier Loisel : It must be here somewhere. Necklaces don't just evaporate.

Monsier Loisel : I shall go back on foot, over the entire route, to see whether or not I can find it.

Madame Loisel :  Did you find it? Tell me! Did you?

Monsier Loisel : [Remains silent]

Madame Loisel : Did you find it or not?

Monsier Loisel : I am afraid not

🌺🌺Scene 4

This is My Video Scene 4📼

Narrator :

Madame Loisel didn't tell Madame Forestier that she lost her necklace and she chose to replace it. The replacement cost them everything. Madame Loisel came to know the ghastly life of abject poverty. Their previous life seemed downright luxurious compared to what they had now.

Monsier Loisel :  Matilda, my love. I have made the last payment on our debt. We have nothing left for ourselves, but at least we  are free from the loan of 20,000 francs.

Madame Loisel : Free at last.

Monsier Loisel :  Look! Isn't that Madame Forestier over there? You have not spoken to her since that day. Go talk to her

Madame Loisel : Uh... Hello. Good day.

Madame Forestier : You must have mistaken me for someone else. Excuse me please...

Madame Loisel : Jeanne, don't you recognize me? It's me, Matilda

Madame Forestier : Matilda? But it can't be. You look so worn and old.

Madame Loisel : No really, it's me. I've changed because I have had to endure ten hard years of manual labor, scrubbing floors  and taking in laundry.

Madame Forestier : My dear, what could have happened to make you do that?

Madame Loisel : It was your necklace, or rather my desire to be elegant, that caused this.

Madame Forestier : But how is that possible? I have the necklace. I wore it to the theater just the other night.

Madame Loisel : The necklace you have is actually just a replacement. I'm afraid that I lost yours. We borrowed money to purchase a replacement and have spent the past ten years paying off the debt, but today, we have made the last payment.

Madame Forestier : Ten years? Surely it could not have taken that long to pay off the amount needed to replace the necklace?

Madame Loisel : What do you mean?

Madame Forestier :  Mine was a fake; the replacement should have cost you nothing more than 500 francs. Oh, my poor, poor, dear Matilda.

For more details regarding the chapter 4 material, namely vanity, What is Thy Price? let's look at the video below

🌷Lost Items🌷

I once borrowed something that belonged to my friend, the item I borrowed was a pen. However, the pen was missing. I was sad that the pen was lost, finally I looked for the missing pen until I found it.

As for our way to find missing items, namely:

🍅Part 1 of 4

Track again the place attended

1. Determine the last time you saw the item.

This suggestion may be obvious, but the first step is to imagine where you might have lost the item. While it doesn't have to be exactly at a point, your memory will probably wake up and then realize where you left it.

  • Not sure where the last time you saw him? List the last places you saw the item.

2. Remember what you were thinking the last time you saw the item.

This might be a little silly, but remembering what you thought and felt the last time that item was with you can sometimes help. Your memory will return to that moment. So, a little detail can help you find it.

3. Browse all the locations you have been to since you lost the item.

Go back to the points you were on since the item was last with you. If you're lucky, the item just falls off and you'll find it again when you return to the place.

🍅Part 2 of 4:

Perform a Systematic Search

1. Take it easy.

Of course you will panic if you lose something important like your wallet or cellphone. However, it can be hard to find them if you are stressed. Try to relax before searching to clear your mind.

  • Having a hard time calming down? Take a deep breath.

2Check the area the item should be in.

Even if you don't remember where to put it, start looking for where it should be. If you always put your key in a receptacle near the door, that's where your first search is.

  • If there are several places that you would normally put them, look them all over to make sure nothing was overlooked.
  • Search slowly and carefully. If you panic looking for an item, it will end up getting messier and it will be harder to find.
  • Even though it seems obvious, don't forget to check your pockets and bags. Maybe you put it in there without realizing it.

3. Expand the search area to a larger area.

  • If the item is not in its usual place, now look for it in a larger space. Look for a few inches from the starting point and see if the item is there.
  • If still not found, expand the search area. Keep expanding the search area little by little until you find it.

4. Clean the area.

Sometimes, expanding the search area still doesn't help. Unfortunately, there is only one final solution, which is tidying up. If your search space is cluttered, it may be that the item is missing under the pile. So, tidying up the room, the item you are looking for will probably come up on its own.

🍅Part of 4:

Asking for Help Searching

1. Ask friends, coworkers, and / or family.

Sometimes, what you thought was lost was actually just borrowed or transferred by someone else. Ask people near you if they saw or knew where the item was.

If you often lose things because friends, family, or coworkers are always “borrowing” them, don't hesitate to ask them to ask questions before taking anything. It's the only way to keep track of your stuff.

2. Go to information sections at public locations.

If you have lost an item in a store, restaurant, or other public place, you can be lucky if someone finds it. Ask the information department whether your item was returned by someone else there.

  • If your item isn't there, leave contact information. That way, they can contact you when the item is found.

3. Post flyers.

If you can't find the item and know that it's missing in a certain area, make a pamphlet that includes all the important details. Describe the item and provide contact information so that the person who found it can contact you. Post flyers in the area and pray.

  • Post flyers on utility poles or bulletin boards in areas where people often see.
  • If you really want to find it, offer a gift to convince people to return it.

🍅Part of 4:

Preventing Future Lost Items

1. Be aware of what you do every day.

You are likely to lose things a lot if you don't think about what you were doing. Try to be aware of what you do on a day-to-day basis so that you don't get confused about losing your keys, wallet, or cellphone for trivial reasons.

2. Clean up your house and work area.

If your home or desk is always cluttered, you can easily lose anything. Organize tables and other surfaces so that the things you need are easily visible.

  • For example, if you put your phone on an empty table that is not covered with magazines and books, you will always be able to see it

3. Have a specific place for each item.

The easiest way to avoid losing things is to provide a specific place to put them. Hang your keys on the door side hanger, charge your phone on the bedside table, or keep your wallet in the same purse pocket so you always know where it is.

  • Save items specifically. Don't just hang the umbrella on whatever hanger you have in the aisle, always hang it on the center hanger.

The following are questions from the teacher along with the answers I have filled in

Question 1 :
Answer :
If I continue the story, I will make the ending of the story as follows. In the end Madam Forestier did not want to accept the necklace because the price of the necklace that was lost was only an imitation and the price was not much, he could have chosen to take it and have lots of money but he did not want to have bad intentions and feel sorry for Madam Loisel who had borrowed money and paid up to 10 In its old years, Madam Loisel also felt happy thanks to Madam Forestier sincerity for the necklace then the necklace was made into jewelry at Madam Loisel wedding and Monsieur Loisel.

Question 2 :
Answer :
I think being honest is important in life because honesty is what makes other people believe in us. If we lie then other people will no longer believe us. If one day I become madame Loisel I will tell Madame Forestier about her lost necklace and I will replace the necklace and apologize to Madame Forestier with all my heart.

So the explanation from my blog, hopefully it can be understood and useful for all circles. Thank you so much💓💓💚💚
